In 2014, the EPO was busy preparing the ground for future developments, especially the planned introduction of the unitary
patent. Benoît Battistelli reviews the main achievements of the past year, highlighting the strong emphasis on further enhancing
the quality and efficiency of the grant procedure, for example with the ISO 9001 certification of our entire grant process.
